How to set-up Roadrunner IMAP and SMTP settings
Users of the Time warner cable services have access to this very efficient webmail service- Roadrunner email. However, it might be a little tricky for users to configure the Roadrunner email settings easily. Hence, we’re here to guide you through this process in an easy yet very efficient manner.
Before we have a look at how to setup Roadrunner email settings, let’s first go through some basics about the mail server settings.
The mail server settings are basically the settings that one has to undertake in their mail to be able to send and receive mails to and from other services. The incoming mail server can be both POP and IMAP. Don’t worry, we’re there to help you.
Now, to setup Roadrunner IMAP and SMTP settings, follow the given steps:
Incoming mail server:
It’ll ask for you to enter the account type of the incoming mail server. Enter IMAP in it.
Enter your username in the now present field.
It now asks you to provide your server’s hostname. Type “mail.twc.com” in the required field.
For server port, enter 993.
Enter password in the required field to resolve the authentication issue. Remember, Roadrunner is case sensitive so be precise.
A field asking SS/TLS will appear on your screen. Enter Yes in it.
Outgoing Mail server:
In the field that asks for your username, enter your email address.
For server host name, enter mail.twc.com
For server port, enter 587.
Enter your password for authentication.
For the SS/TLS field, enter Yes.
